Before They Were Stars: Ryan Stiles as an Extra in “Rainbow War”

It’s Ryan Stiles’ birthday today, so I’ve dug up footage of his very first acting role in a Canadian short film called Rainbow War, which was created specifically for Expo 86, the 1986 World’s Fair in Vancouver. Stiles popped up as a background extra in numerous scenes, and thankfully, this particular clip has been edited together to showcase all his appearances. It’s worth noting that his future Who’s Line is It Anyway? partner, Colin Mochrie, was also an extra in Rainbow War, though he’s too well-hidden in the film to be able to spot him.
