As has come to be the norm with Tim Burton/Helena Bonham Carter/Johnny Depp collaborations, I find myself approaching Dark Shadows with a kind of cautious optimism. In this featurette that takes a brief look at the history of vampires in popular culture, it’s pretty clear that everyone involved in Dark Shadows wants to deliver a good movie that depicts vampires in a much more classic sense than, say, Twilight, and that definitely appeals to me. But then I think of the mess that was Alice in Wonderland, and I start worrying again. Anybody have strong feelings about Dark Shadows?
