I love finding old handheld footage of famous stand-up comedians starting out in the clubs early on in their careers, so here’s a clip of Zach Galifianakis performing at a club in West Hollywood in January of 1999. He’s clearly nervous and rough around the edges at this point, but thankfully, he was lucky enough to perform in front of an audience who are so easily amused that it feels like there’s a laugh track in the room. Seriously, he starts out with “I went to my stylist today…” and they instantly break out into hysterical laughter!
