Before They Were Stars: Alan Rickman on “Shelley”

Most of Alan Rickman’s early career was spent on the stage and he had been acting for over a decade before he finally made his first appearance in a theatrical film when he was cast in Die Hard. However, Rickman did make the odd television appearance here and there, and in 1980, he made a guest starred on the British sitcom, Shelley. So if you’ve ever wanted to see Alan Rickman with a Beatles haircut and wearing sweatpants tucked into his socks, today’s your lucky day. It’s also neat to see that his distinctive deep voice still sounded exactly the same 32 years ago.
