Beautiful and exotic Brazilian actress Morena Baccarin played Inara Serra on Joss Whedon’s Firefly, and so I am obligated to celebrate her birthday! Trained in the Juilliard School’s theatre program, Baccarin’s first movie role was in the 2001 comedy Perfume. In the same year, she had a small role in the film Way Off Broadway, and in 2002 she appeared briefly in the movie Roger Dodger. It was in 2002 that she also landed her role on Firefly, which was Baccarin’s first television role. Since then, she has stuck almost exclusively to television acting, and has appeared in the TV series Justice League, The OC, How I Met Your Mother, Las Vegas, Heartland, Stargate SG-1, Stargate: The Ark of Truth, Numb3rs, Homeland, V, and The Good Wife. She is set to appear in the film Old Days, which is scheduled for release next year. Morena Baccarin turns 33 today.
