Now that Prometheus has been released, I’ve finally gone back and watched a bunch of the promotional materials for the film that I had intentionally skipped because I was afraid that they spoiled too much. Unfortunately, there were a lot of things spoiled in the trailers for the movie, but thankfully I was still surprised by a lot of it…so I guess I’m just saying that I don’t regret ceasing to watch the trailers after the first couple. But now that the movie is out, I don’t feel bad at all about posting these two clips – the one above a featurette that talks a bit about Ridley Scott’s relationship with the sci-fi genre and also gives us a lot of good looks at the production of the film, and the one below, which is part of the viral marketing campaign for Prometheus, but oddly enough this clip was only released after Prometheus hits theatres. It implies that something big is going to happen in relation to the film on 10/11/12. What do you think? Hype for the DVD release? Or maybe a tease at the next movie in the series? Your guess is as good as mine.
