Daryl Sabara is a young actor whose career was given a huge boost by Robert Rodriguez. Sabara began acting at a young age, with his early work consisting of appearances on TV shows like Murphy Brown, Will and Grace, and Roswell. In 2001, Sabara was cast as one of the two leads in Robert Rodriguez’s kids film Spy Kids, a role which he reprised in that film’s sequels Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams, Spy Kids 3D: Game Over, and Spy Kids: All the Time in the World 4D. Sabara has continued to act extensively on TV shows, with credits on shows like House, Criminal Minds, Weeds, The Boondocks, The Batman, Wizards of Waverly Place, Grimm, and Generator Rex, but he has also continued to expand his film roles, working with Rodriguez again on Machete, as well as appearing in The Polar Express, Keeping Up with the Steins, World’s Greatest Dad, A Christmas Carol, April Showers, the Halloween remake, and John Carter. In addition to film and TV, Sabara has voiced a few video game characters in the game adaption of The Polar Express and in the games FusionFall and Saints Row: The Third. Daryl Sabara turns 20 today.
