It’s kind of amazing how many plot holes are filled thanks to this comedy sketch by Barely Political. A frequent complaint that people have in regards to Prometheus is how unrealistically the characters in that film act, and, well, this explains it! It was all because they were really poorly trained! Suddenly it all makese sense.
