Blue Sky Studios has made some pretty popular films, such as Ice Age, Rio, and Robots, but I honestly haven’t been blown away by any of their films. The closest they’ve gotten with me was Horton Hears a Who, but even that didn’t come close to the awesomeness put out by the likes of Dreamworks or Pixar. Do I think that their newest film, titled Epic, will break this trend? Nope! This looks like Avatar meets Ferngully, and while it looks undeniably cute, I really don’t feel like it’s going to bring anything new to the table. Still, this will probably be gorgeous in 3D, so I might see it just for that…but Epic doesn’t look epic to me. Does it look epic to you?
