Celebrity Birthday of the Day – July 9

Before we begin today’s Celebrity Birthday of the Day bio, you need to press play on this video:

Fred Savage was, for a time, the epitome of everything a child actor should be. Savage shot to fame quite early in his career, following appearances on the TV shows The Twilight Zone and Crime Story, when he played the role of the Grandson in one of the greatest movies ever made: The Princess Bride. Savage shot to fame after The Princess Bride, and followed up his role with a five-year stint as the star of The Wonder Years as well as roles in the movies Little Monsters and The Wizard. Savage fell out of the limelight in the mid-to-late 90s, only occasionally playing parts on shows like The Outer Limits and Boy Meets World. Since 2000, Savage has appeared as Number Three (the Mole) in Austin Powers in Goldmember and played a small part in Welcome to Mooseport. More recently he’s been providing voices on the show Generator Rex…but he’ll always be the Grandson and Kevin Arnold to me. Fred Savage turns 36 today.
