Before They Were Stars: Fred Savage’s First Audition Tape

Damn, I posted this a day too late! Yesterday was Fred Savage’s birthday and my “Before They Were Stars” feature was an old audition tape with Rachel McAdams. But wouldn’t you know, it turns out that Fred Savage himself has a clip of an old audition tape floating around. This is from the early eighties and shows young Fred auditioning to be the spokesperson in an ad for the Brookfield Square Mall in Brookfield, Wisconsin. And judging by the way he’s wearing his baseball cap, it seems that Fred Savage was quite the gangsta.
