In Istanbul, retired CIA operative Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) and his wife (Famke Janssen) are taken hostage by the father of a kidnapper Mills killed while rescuing his daughter (Maggie Grace) in the first film.
Taken was like the ultimate guilty pleasure action movie – Liam Neeson just kicks everyone’s asses from start to finish. There’s barely any plot, but it’s made incredibly satisfying thanks to Neeson’s badass, competent action hero, and this is compounded by the fact that he warns them not to mess with him, but they do anyway. He told them he was going to kill them if they messed with him! He told them so! Anyway, Taken 2 looks like loads of fun, and while I may not have anything deep or interesting to say about this sequel, there’s no way I’m not posting this trailer.
Taken 2 comes out October 5, 2012.
