Before They Were Stars: Jeremy Renner in “National Lampoon’s Senior Trip”

With The Bourne Legacy opening in theaters this weekend and Jeremy Renner officially stepping into Matt Damon’s shoes, let’s take a step back and show how Mr. Renner has come a long, LONG way! Back in 1995, he made his film debut as a stoner in National Lampoon’s Senior Trip, a comedy which was made many years after the “National Lampoon” label should have been permanently retired. If this trailer doesn’t give you enough of an indication about Senior Trip‘s quality, how about the fact that the director removed his name from the film and was credited under the “Alan Smithee” pseudonym? Anyway, Renner’s standout moment in the film is probably this line: “Let’s do some Van Damage!”.
