Let me start by saying that this sketch is totally brilliant and perfectly exemplifies why I love Funny or Die. Patrick Stewart, Maisie Williams and Simon Pegg are all clearly having loads of fun here, and I enjoyed every minute of the video. Now, with that out of the way, how sad is it that this video really made me realize what a terrific actor Patrick Stewart is? I mean, I obviously knew already that the man was a genius in the arena of acting, but seeing him play a character so far removed from his usual stoic, wise and fatherly characters (a la Professor X) really illustrated to me just what a fantastic talent he possesses. But I can’t help but be a bit embarassed to admit it.
