It’s another famous “That Guy” birthday! Kevin Tighe is a character actor who has been working in film and television since 1967, when he landed his first film appearances with a background part in The Graduate as well as starring in the PSA Narcotics: Pit of Despair, which Robin and I have ruthlessly riffed.
Throughout the 1970s, Tighe worked primarily in television, accumulating credits on shows such as Bonanza, The Six Million Dollar Man, Emergency!, and The Love Boat. In the 1980s and 90s, Tighe began to focus more on film acting in movies including K-9, Eight Men Out, Road House, Another 48 Hours, Newsies, Jade, Mumford, and What’s Eating Gilbert Grape. Other notable Tighe credits include appearances on shows such as ER, Chicago Hope, Murder One, The Outer Limits, Takes from the Crypt, Freaks and Geeks, Star Trek: Voyager, The 4400, and Lost, as well as in films such as My Bloody Valentine and The Deal. Kevin Tighe turns 68 today.
