I’m already totally stoked for Borderlands 2, and I thought that I couldn’t possibly get any more excited…and then this trailer comes along. Holy hell, guys, this game looks mind-blowingly incredible. For all that other games have impressed me – I’m thinking here of some of my favourites of recent years like Batman: Arkham City and Deus Ex: Human Revolution – nothing comes even remotely close to topping to awesomeness of Borderlands. It’s the perfect combination of game-y elements: the looting of Diablo combined with cell-shaded first-person shoot-em-up gaming, wrapped in a Mad Max post-apocalyptic setting. It’s everything I love and more, and I need it NOW.
