Today we celebrate the birthday of Noah Taylor, an actor whom I quite like. After training at St. Martin’s Youth Theater in South Yarra, Taylor moved into film acting with the 1987 movie The Year My Voice Broke, also starring in its sequel Flirting with Nicole Kidman. In 1996, Taylor had a prominent role in the film Shine, which earned him a lot of praise.
Since Shine, Taylor has been appearing in more and more popular films and TV shows, with roles in movies such as Almost Famous, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and its sequel, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, Vanilla Sky, The New World, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and The Proposition. He can currently be seen in the John Hillcoat film Lawless and on the TV mini-series Hatfields & McCoys, and it is rumoured that he will appear in season 3 of Game of Thrones! Noah Taylor turns 43 today.
