Back in 1990, while he was struggling a bit with his career as a record producer, Simon Cowell made his first appearance in front of a camera as a contestant on a British game show called Sale of the Century. Simon makes it all the way to the final round and fails to win the grand prize of a new car, though he does walk away with a nice set of kitchen utensils. This clip went viral years ago when that contestant beside him, Barbara, found her VHS copy of the show while going through some old boxes. When she decided to re-watch it, she was stunned to discover that the guy standing next to her went on to become one of the richest celebrities in the world!
