Cloud Atlas explores how the actions and consequences of individual lives impact one another throughout the past, the present and the future. Action, mystery and romance weave dramatically through the story as one soul is shaped from a killer into a hero and a single act of kindness ripples across centuries to inspire a revolution in the distant future.
A new trailer for the Wachowskis’ collaboration with Tom Tykwer Cloud Atlas has appeared online, and I’m still reeling from the sheer spectacle of it all. Even if this is a big old mess, it’s going to be a very pretty one indeed, and it delights me to no end that we’re getting a big dose of cool-looking science fiction this fall. Between Cloud Atlas and Looper, I’m a happy, happy Gill! But seriously, does anyone think this movie will make sense when viewed in its entirety? Either way, I’m very excited to see this.
