Before They Were Stars: Zach Galifianakis in “Bubble Boy”

Hard to believe that in 2001, the same year he started gaining credibility as an actor by starring in Donnie Darko, Jake Gyllenhaal had the title role in the brainless comedy, Bubble Boy, the type of project he probably wouldn’t touch with a ten-foot pole today. Anyway, the film also featured an brief early role for Zach Galifianakis as a jaded bus stop clerk. It amuses me that at the end of ths clip, the bus that crashes into Bubble Boy doesn’t even make an ATTEMPT to stop even though it had plenty of time to do so. Maybe the driver was hoping to end the movie early…
