I love the first Die Hard movie, and I thought Die Hard with a Vengeance was pretty good, but Die Hard 2: Die Harder and Live Free or Die Hard were both merely entertaining, and sort of fell victim to the action cliches they were also trying to celebrate. Plus, the “Yippee ki-yay, motherfucker” has been done to death. Anyway, hopefully this means that A Good Day to Die Hard will be among the better Die Hard films because it’s an odd-numbered instalment, but I’m not holding my breath. Even more than this movie being good, though, I hope that Bruce Willis just keeps making Die Hard movies until he actually dies. I want Die Hard with a Walker, damnit! Yippee ki-yay, grandmotherfucker.
