It’s Halloween! And that means that today on TBR we’re doing a full day of horror movie awesomeness! We’re even going to start with the birthday of a celebrity who is quite familiar with the horror genre: Stephen Rea! Rea’s first foray into the horror genre was 1984’s The Company of Wolves, after which he didn’t return to horror until 1994’s Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles. Other horror credits held by Stephen Rea include In Dreams, Feardotcom, The Reaping, Stuck, Underworld: Awakening, and Werewolf: The Beast Among Us.
Rea has also played roles in such non-horror films as The Crying Game, Michael Collins, Still Crazy, The End of the Affair, The Musketeer, The Good Shepherd, Breakfast on Pluto, Ondine, and Blackthorn. Stephen Rea turns 66 today, and even though he’s not in this scene from The Company of Wolves, I have to post it simply because it’s Halloween!
