Here’s a fun experiment! When I say Craig Parker’s name, chances are that you don’t know who I mean offhand. But if I say “The Leader of the army of Elves in The Lord of the Rings“, if you’re a nerd like me, you’ll probably exclaim “Ooooooh!” That was certainly the case when I looked him up. Parker is undoubtedly best known as Haldir in The Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers, but he began acting quite a while before that, with his first role being on the TV series Gloss in 1987. Parker seems to favour fantasy projects, as he has also appeared in the TV series Young Hercules, Xena: Warrior Princess, Legend of the Seeker, Spartacus: Blood and Sand, and in the movie Underworld: Rise of the Lycans. He turns 42 today.
