Welcome to the Basement: Song of the South

Head on over to the old leather couch with Matt and Craig, because this week on Welcome to the Basement, they’re looking at the racially problematic Disney classic Song of the South. Much like Craig, I used to watch the animated sequences from Song of the South on TV a lot when I was a kid, but never really saw the movie that encompasses them. Gotta say, I’m kind of glad I didn’t, because that movie is one traumatic flick! A kid gets trampled by a bull! And another one threatens to drown a puppy! Sheesh, Disney, you’ve got some dark sensibilities.
