Since it’s Kathryn Bigelow’s birthday today, I think it only appropriate that I feature a new TV spot for her next film Zero Dark Thirty. In all honesty, if Bigelow wasn’t behind the camera on this movie, I’d probably have no interest in it at all. The subject matter looks extremely dry, and I generally don’t go for films about the military unless the military is fighting aliens or something. But Bigelow has really won me over in recent years, as I think The Hurt Locker is just a tremendous movie through and through. Here’s hoping Zero Dark Thirty follows suit.
Zero Dark Thirty comes out in limited released on December 19, 2012, then spreads to more theatres on January 11, 2013.
