2088: The Future Is Coming

This teaser popped up online a few months ago and I refrained from posting it because there wasn’t any information available on the mysterious 2088 project bearing the tagline The Future is Coming and apparently featuring some angry robots. Well, time has passed, and there’s still very little info on the web as to what this teaser is trying to sell. It looks like a movie, but director Steven Llous calls it “A transmedia sci-fi/drama property that will entice audiences from all around the world, allowing people to experience this story through multi-platform touch points.” WTF does that mean? I’m guessing it’s going to be something like an extensive viral campaign? Or maybe we can expect something like what happened with The Matrix Reloaded and the video game Enter the Matrix? We’ll just have to wait and see.
