You normally wouldn’t associate a talented actress like Jennifer Lawrence with some stupid MTV reality show, but believe it or not, that’s how should got her start. My Super Sweet 16 was a reality series that aired on MTV from 2005-2008 and basically centered around rich parents throwing huge “Sweet 16” celebrations for their kids. At the age of 14, Jennifer Lawrence got her first acting gig in a series of ads where she played a girl named Lisa whose “Sweet 16” celebration keeps going horribly wrong. So, yeah, MTV discovered a future Academy Award-nominated actress and thought that the best way to use her was to have her play a fictitious character in commercials intended to promote a reality show. It’s enough to make your head explode!
