An art auctioneer who has become mixed up with a group of criminals partners with a hypnotherapist in order to recover a lost painting.
Hypnotic suggestion has basically been completely debunked by Penn and Teller, but for Danny Boyle, I’ll gladly suspend my disbelief. Especially when the cast for his latest (literal) art-house heist movie features both James McAvoy and Vincent Cassel! I honestly have such faith in Boyle to deliver the goods that I’ll watch anything he puts out. He’s always got something interesting for us movie-lovers, I say.
Trance comes out in the UK on March 27, 2013. No word on when it hits North America yet.
