It’s become a fun tradition here at The Back Row for me to do “Before They Were Stars” features on the Academy Award nominees shortly after they’ve been announced. Hmmmm, so Christoph Waltz got himself another “Best Supporting Actor” nomination for a role in a Quentin Tarantino movie? Gee, no points for guessing who I’m rooting for this year. Anyway, I never get tired of posting obscure Christoph Waltz footage, so here’s a clip of him singing a rendition of “Paint it Black” in You’re Not Alone: The Roy Black Story, a 1996 biopic from Germany where Waltz portrayed the famous German singer.
