Mena Suvari’s career in show business began before she was even a teenager when she took up modelling and began to appear in commercials. She had been modelling for five years by the time she moved into acting, and made her television debut in two episodes of Boy Meets World. Other early TV shows that Suvari appeared on include ER and High Incident, and she made her film debut in 1997’s Nowhere. In 1999, Suvari starred in three films with the word “American” in the title – American Virgin, American Pie, and American Beauty – the latter two of which shot her to stardom. Since then she has appeared in such films as American Pie 2, American Reunion, The Musketeer, Spun, Domino, and Stuck, and on TV shows including Six Feet Under and American Horror Story.
