Much Ado About Something?

A modern retelling of Shakespeare’s classic comedy about two pairs of lovers with different takes on romance and a way with words.

You’ve gotta admire Joss Whedon. The guy has just finished making one of the top-grossing, crowd-pleasing-est movies of all time, and how does he follow it up? With a black and white adaptation of Shakespeare. That takes guts! But I suppose Whedon can just do whatever he wants now anyway. All that being said, I think his version of Much Ado About Nothing looks fantastic, and that’s not just because of the Whedon-ite cast (which includes Amy Acker, Alexis Denisof, Fran Kranz and Nathan Fillion). Any take on Shakespeare that breathes new life into those Olde English lines is doing something right. Am I alone in being excited for this?

Much Ado About Nothing comes out June 21, 2013.
