Before They Were Stars: 5-Year Old Javier Bardem on “El Picaro”

Having been born into a family of actors, Javier Bardem spent much of his youth hanging around film sets and at the age of five, he got himself a small role in a Spanish TV series called El Picaro (a.k.a. The Scoundrel). His role basically consists of freaking out and crying after a bunch of guys go out of their way to scare him, so no wonder he grew up to play such creepy characters. Incidentally, this clip also contains a brief snippet of a previous “Before They Were Stars” entry of mine where Bardem donned a Superman costume during his days on a goofy Spanish sketch comedy show.
