This Calvin and Hobbes Animation Confuses My Heart

As an expression of love for the glorious and now long-over Calvin and Hobbes, Adam Brown animated one of the comic strips using Bill Watterson’s drawings as keyframes…and the result is heart-warmingly beautiful. Sigh. Just another thing to remind me how much I miss C&H. Anyway, while I love this, it does fill me with a wash of confused emotions. I’d really love to see more animated C&H stuff, but…then they’d have to give Calvin a voice, and I think Watterson’s deliberate refusal to give Calvin a voice was a wise decision. Oh well. There are still a number of dialogue-free C&H strips. Maybe Brown will tackle one of those next.
