The Coen Bros. proved long ago that they’re some of the best directors working today, and it’s gotten to the point where everyone knows it and they know it, so they hardly even have to advertise their movies. That certainly seems to be the case with Inside Llewyn Davis, their new period piece about a down-and-out folk musician looking for meaning in his life and taking a cat on a road trip. But it’s not his cat. I think this looks like another brilliant entry into the Coen filmography. The colour palette, the cast, and the music…this is going to be very, very good.

Inside Llewyn Davis comes out December 6, 2013.
