After wisely changing his birth name, Albert Einstein, the man we now know as Albert Brooks embarked on a career in a stand-up comedy and eventually got himself a lot of gigs on talk shows and variety shows during the early 1970s. One of his earliest televised appearances was on The Flip Wilson Show, in a sketch where he portrayed the world’s worst ventriloquist.
