Here’s an actor whose rise to fame has been swift! Chris Evans made his acting debut in the 2000 film The Newcomers and played early roles on TV series including Opposite Sex, The Fugitive, and Boston Public. He gained some attention due to his starring role in 2001’s Not Another Teen Movie, and the film Cellular in 2004, also starring Evans, was a modest success. In 2005 he landed the role of Johnny Storm – a.k.a. The Human Torch – in Fantastic Four, a role which he reprised in the sequel Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. In 2010, Evans had a prominent part as Evil Ex #2 in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, and the following year he played Captain America in Captain America: The First Avenger, thereby cementing himself as a blockbuster star, and the fact that The Avengers is now one of the most successful films of all time just secures that status even further. Chris Evans turns 32 today.
