Before They Were Stars: Bob Barker Shills Belair Cigarettes

Yesterday, I dug up old footage of Roy Scheider doing the now-forbidden act of shilling cigarettes on television during the 1960s. Well, now I’ve uncovered footage of Bob Barker, of all people, doing the same thing early on in his career, back when he hosted the game show, Truth or Consequences. Yeah, telling people to smoke Belair Cigarettes is quite a far cry from telling them to help control the pet population. Hilariously enough, at the 20-second mark, when they show a close-up of the cigarettes, you can hear someone in the studio audience let out a loud cough!
