Take the engine.

In a future where a failed global-warming experiment kills off most life on the planet, a class system evolves aboard the Snowpiercer, a train that travels around the globe via a perpetual-motion engine.

I haven’t posted any coverage or trailers for Joon-ho Bong’s upcoming post-apocalyptic sci-fi film Snowpiercer until now because I honestly don’t know what to make of it. I was lukewarm on The Host – the movie that made Joon-ho Bong famous internationally – and I haven’t seen his film Mother, which got a fair amount of acclaim. So I’m approaching Snowpiercer from a place of mostly curiosity. The movie looks interesting, and I kinda dig the idea of a futuristic movie set entirely on a train. But I dunno, nothing about this film has really grabbed me yet. And I was sorely let down by what the marketing division called the “60s trailer”, because that trailer does not look like it was made in the 60s. Disappointing.

Look under the cut for more Snowpiercer stuff!
