Jackie Earle Haley’s career as an actor has been pretty interesting. He started off as a successful child actor and appeared on episodes of The Partridge Family and Marcus Welby, M.D., as well as in the films The Day of the Locust, The Bad News Bears, and The Bad News Bears in Breaking Training. Other early credits on Haley’s resume include Murder, She Wrote, Gravedale High, Nemesis, and Maniac Cop 3: Badge of Silence. Following Maniac Cop 3, Haley took a prolonged break from acting, and he didn’t return to the craft until 2006’s Little Children – a role which netted him a nomination for Best Supporting Actor. Since then, he has appeared in the films Semi-Pro, Winged Creatures, Watchmen, Shutter Island, A Nightmare on Elm Street, and Dark Shadows. Jackie Earle Haley turns 53 today.
