Before They Were Stars: Jeff Bridges on “Lassie”

Following this week’s Shouts From the Back Row podcast on the career of Jeff Bridges, here’s one of his earliest roles. During his childhood, Jeff often made acting appearances on shows his father, Lloyd Bridges, starred in, such as Sea Hunt. Once he entered adulthood, Jeff finally ventured off to roles on his own, such as this guest appearance on a 1969 episode of Lassie, where he saves an injured man who’s trapped under a dangling power line. Strangely enough, at the time this clip was posted, there was confusion about whether Bridges even appeared in this episode since the IMDb had credited his role to an actor named Larry Wilcox. However, there can be no mistaking that this definitely is the one and only Jeff Bridges.
