Shoot straight, stay calm.

My wish was granted! No sooner had I posted about the perplexing lack of new trailers for Ender’s Game than one gets released. And y’know, this one makes the movie look pretty good. Having not read the book, I can’t say as I’m echoing the excitement that fans of it seem to have for the movie, but as far as sci-fi action-adventure movies go, this look like a good time.  It’s a real shame that Orson Scott Card will make some money off of this – I really don’t like that guy. Anyway, the thing that has me most interested in the film is its cast of young actors, the central three of whom I’ve thoroughly enjoyed in other films – Asa Butterfield in Hugo, Hailee Steinfeld in True Grit, and Abigail Breslin in Zombieland (among other things). Harrison Ford seems a bit bored, though.

Ender’s Game comes out November 1, 2013.
