Wow, watching this typical 1990s sitcom intro brought back some repressed memories. The Fanelli Boys was a short-lived sitcom about an Italian family which aired on NBC in 1990 and, yes, I actually remember watching this. The series had every conceivable Italian family stereotype you could imagine and an unknown Christopher Meloni got to play the hotheaded son who walks around in wife beaters all day. It’s pretty funny to see Joe Pantoliano headlining his own cheesy sitcom, though he and Meloni would reunite with much better results in the terrific Wachowski Brothers film, Bound.
