Before They Were Stars: Billy Connolly Sings with The Humblebums

Before he went into stand-up comedy, Billy Connolly spent the late 1960s as part of a folk-singing duo called The Humblebums. He started off with a guy named Tam Harvey, but after they recorded one album, Harvey pretty much faded into obscurity and Connolly teamed up with Gerry Rafferty, who also went on to much bigger things after the Humblebums broke up for good. If you compare these two clips, I think you’ll probably agree that the Gerry Rafferty version of the Humblebums was far superior.
