Before They Were Stars: George Clooney is Interviewed on “The Merv Griffin Show”

This is a rather unusual one as George Clooney was hardly a major celebrity here, but he still scored himself an interview on The Merv Griffin Show in 1985. At this point, George’s biggest claim to fame was a semi-recurring role on The Facts of Life, but it seems like he got this interview on the basis of Merv knowing his anchorman father, Nick Clooney, and his famous aunt, Rosemary Clooney. Of course, George took advantage of this national television exposure by sporting a mullet, along with a classy Hawaiian shirt, bell bottoms and yellow socks ensemble.
