Believe it or not, before Jackass, Johnny Knoxville actually made an attempt at a legitimate acting career. Unfortunately, the only film role he could get was in Desert Blues, an ultra-low budget 1995 shot-on-video sex comedy which is practically softcore porn. Billed as “Philip John” (his real name is Philip John Clapp, but I guess he didn’t want to attach his last name to this piece of crap), Knoxville plays a horny college boy who rents a house for spring break with his buddies, and they wind up having lots of sex with horny college girls. A typical dialogue exchange from this film:
“Oh wow, a piano!”
“I got an organ too, babe.”
