Before They Were Stars: 10-Year Old Jesse Plemons in “Varsity Blues”

On the day that the series finale of Breaking Bad aired, I was pleasantly surprised to see Cracked.com do their own “Before They Were Stars” column on cast members from the show, but of course, most of their entries have already been showcased here at The Back Row. However, one actor I’ve never covered is Jesse Plemons, whose creepy portrayal of the psychotic Todd on Breaking Bad earned him the nickname “Meth Demon”. Plemons is actually best known for playing a nice guy on the TV series, Friday Night Lights, but at the age of 10, he had another football-related role as Paul Walker’s little brother in Varsity Blues. Yeah, I’m presuming this creepy kid soon wiped out his entire family before he was adopted by his Uncle Jack and his neo-Nazi friends.
