That’s a Bat-pun.

Emmet, an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average LEGO minifigure, is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world. He is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared.

I’m not a humourless man, but it takes a fair amount of effort on the part of a joke to actually get me to laugh out loud. Well, this trailer for The LEGO Movie managed to succeed with that final stinger joke. I won’t spoil it. Anyway, as I said after the first trailer appeared, I’m genuinely and pleasantly surprised at how much fun this film looks. LEGO just keeps maintaining a high standard of quality, proving that it’s basically the best toy ever.

The LEGO Movie comes out February 7, 2014.
