The Hungry Games

Sesame Street continues to parody popular culture with this cookie-themed take on The Hunger Games, but something occurs to me about this: I think Sesame Street actually understands the source material a little better than the movies do. I mean, I did not detect a single moment of “hunger” in The Hunger Games. In fact, there’s food all throughout that movie. There’s even a scene where a suckling pig is just like, sitting around during a training sequence. I realize that there’s supposed to be a divide between the amount of food available to the upper and lower classes, but, in the words of Honest Trailers – “they all look very well fed.”
