Hoo boy. I’ve only seen The 5000 Fingers of Dr. T once in my life, many, many years ago, but it made such a lasting impression that almost all of the clips shown on this episode of Welcome to the Basement are still burned into my memory. I would love to know more about the backstory of this movie, because it’s just so insane. Who gave this the greenlight? Was the studio’s confidence in it entirely based on the fact that Dr. Seuss wrote it?
