Before They Were Stars: Jennifer Connelly, Japanese Pop Star!

I’m not sure if Jennifer Connelly did this before Labyrinth or if she only got this gig because of her fame from Labyrinth, but in the end, it doesn’t matter. Even if it’s not a “Before They Were Stars” moment, I have to post this! In 1986, Connelly traveled to Japan and recorded two pop songs for release over there called “Monologue of Love” and “Message of Love”. The preceding clip is her rendition of “Monlogue of Love” and, yes, the song is entirely in Japanese. Believe it or not, Connelly did not speak Japanese at all and sang the whole thing phonetically!
